Tommy Week 9

Today is Thursday. This is the day of the field trip! Eleesa took me to Taichung National Museum Of Natural Science and 921 Earthquake Museum. I saw many special things and learned more knowledge in those museums. We checked in the Nice Prince Hotel at night, and we went to the shopping mall to buy some snacks for the second day. When we went back, I slept well because the bed felt so soft. The first day of the field trip was over, and I have a beautiful memories with Eleesa on that day, too!

Tommy week 11

Day 1 with Paul

Dear journal, this weekend I followed Paul home. As usual, Paul studied at the cram school until ten thirty. After we arrived home, he started exercising, doing push-ups and sit-ups. He showed me some of his collections. There are novels, cards, pistols and knives, etc. (Of course, they are fake.) The pistol in the picture is Beretta M92F. It has fifteen rounds (in plastic bullet), and it weighs 1,162 grams (2.56 pounds). The first knife in the front is a hunting knife (dull knife), the second one is a butterfly knife, and the last one is a pocket knife. He keeps his collections in the cabinet (it's pretty safe). Paul is good at Chemistry. He taught me VSEPR theories, some Hybrid orbital theories and Organic Chemistry etc . Learning so much, unconsciously I wasn’t aware that it's already 1 AM. It's time to go to bed. Good night. (June 8 with Paul)

Misha Week 11

                                 Day 1 with Anny

Today, I came to Anny’s home. First, she took me to take the train back her home. Taiwan's train is cool. Their air conditioner made me feel comfortable on hot days. I like it very much. After that, when we got home, she took me a bath and let me soak in the bathtub. She gave me a wonderful leisure time. In addition to the bath, she took me to see the ocean, which is near her home. The sunset is amazing and let me feel relaxed. I like the place where she took me to see the wetland and let me enjoy the wind blowing on my face. The sight is beautiful near her house. I won’t forget it forever. 

Misha in Homeroom Teachers Office

Today, I went to school with ㄗˇㄋㄨㄥˊ. She was going to attend the rehearsal for graduation ceremony. She was very happy that she could skip the math class today in the beginning. Then it turned out that she didn't get the right schedule, she had to go to math class in the end. She whispered, oh, no, why couldn't I skip the math class? It was a pity that the teacher heard her murmuring. She was angry and said, why didn't you want to take the math class? I was unlucky to be there to be scolded with her. Hope that I have better luck tomorrow.

Misha Week 10

Day 1 with Rong
After a hard day of leaning, I went to the dean's office and talked to her. She is my favorite chemistry teacher and everyone's favorite dean. As long as the school allows, I will go to her office. The teacher sometime gives us a snack, but you need to check the shelf life before eating! I was unlucky today, when I arrived at the office, she was about to go home. Fortunately, I took a photo with her. She is beautiful, right? The time I stay here is happy and I enjoy it.

Tommy Week 10

                            Day 1 (Tommy with Michael)
Hello everyone, I am Michael. Today is a special day because Teddy bear is with me. I want to take it with me to Chupei Theater because there are choir performances from six high schools. This show is special because every choir has to perform a Chinese song and a song in other languages. I was surprised at the show of our school because they used a rod and hit the board to make a sound like hitting boats showing they were in a forest. They also made other sounds like birds. It is beautiful. The song I like most is 花樹下. It was sang by Hsin Chu Girl High School. The song is a Hakka song. After I listened to the song, I was touched. This is what I did with Teddy Bear! Misha Week 9

Today Vincent played the guitar with me. I had a good time. He was preparing for the guitar club’s cadres test. If he doesn’t pass this test, he can’t stay at the guitar club. So he must pass it or he would be forced to drop out. And he prepared very hard. I wish he can pass the test and be chosen as one of the cadre. He practiced the song name “Price Tag.“ Vincent loves this song very much because it expresses his thought that one doesn't need to care too much about how other people measure your value. Just be yourself. Only you know what you want and what you want to do. Just do it and be happy. (May 25 with Vincent)

Tommy Week 8

This weekend. I followed Jack home. Jack is friendly to me. The school monthly exam is around the corner. There are a lot of books on Jack's bookcase, science, Greek mythology etc. Oh! There are also a lot of comic books and different collections. I saw something that looks like a telescope but I’m not sure. Jack told me that it is Newtonian telescope. Wow! That’s so interesting. So I borrowed it from Jack. Jack taught me how to use it. 
The happy time always flies by quickly. I felt so sad. I’m very thankful to Jack. (May 3  with Jack)

Misha Week 8

Today is the day when the moth exam gets closer to us. Besides studying hard at home, we also learn seriously. The picture under shows how hard we learn in Math class. We are discussing the questions about combinational mathematics. Misha sits on the desk that I put the books on. We make a great team to fix the problems. I think Misha is also happy about that. We have a substantial day.

Misha Week 7

Day 1

Today, I’m very excited because Class 101 which I stay with would take part in the volleyball game that was held by Chu Pei senior high school.

Although the game started at 10:30 a.m., we went to school at 8:00 a.m. for more
practice. We kept practicing until the game began. Everyone felt nervous and excited because our opponents, Class 118, play volleyball very well. It would hard for us to win.

Tommy Week 7

April 18-19 with Amos

I joined our class volley ball game, and it was fun. Although our class didn’t play very well at first, we practiced hard. We won in the game against class 112 to everyone’s surprise. We got the third place! Recently,
Amos is going to take the club leader test. He practiced playing the guitar so hard and I hope he can get the job.

Tommy Week 5

[103 Group 5] April 12 With Oscar

     Hello ! I’m Tommy. Today is cloudy and a little rainy, and Oscar took me to Vieshow Cinema at Far Eastern Department Store. There was an incredible place, the 4DX theater, which would bring unique experience of watching movies to the people. It didn’t let a person just sit tightly on the seat. Instead, the indoor space created real sense in the movie with some interesting equipment. For example, the seats would move when there had a motion in the movie, and I could also feel the real wind and splash water. I had a joyful time when I sat in the room.

Misha Week 5

Day 1
Today Chiro took me to her home. I saw an orange cat. She was so beautiful. I threw a ball and she caught it, she was really a smart cat. Then, Chiro taught me how to play the piano. I think playing the piano was a lot of fun, and the music was wonderful. After that, we watched TV together. We all enjoy that happy time.

Day 2
Kelly was sick, so I went to a doctor with her. There were many children waiting on the chairs; some were crying, and the others were just playing with their toys. I also saw some people having injections. When it was my turn, the doctor suggested Kelly to rest more and mustn't drink milk or soy milk. I don't want to get sick anymore.

Misha Week 4

Day 1

Today I listen to 116 class song at 9 o'clock, and I attend Steve's class with Lulu. I think that class is so interesting. I go to dance classroom with Lulu in the afternoon. They are in modern dance and ballet. I like to watch them dance very much, and I see them practice their class song, too. They work so hard. I hope they can get first place in the contest tomorrow. I like them being so friendly. I like them very much.

Tommy Week 4

April 6 (by Group 4 Vicky )

    Today was a sunny day. I got up early and looked at my new host Vicky. Last night I slept with her, but I was on the desk, not on the bed, because Vicky is allergic to stuffed animals. I am so sorry about my fur. Suddenly I felt Vicky pick me up, and she said that we are going to Xinfeng to meet a friend. I was very excited. Then we took the train at nine o'clock. On the train, I heard the sound of train-choo-choo... My stomach was grumbling too. It occurred to me that I didn’t eat breakfast! That sound made me very embarrassed... When we arrived at Xinfeng, I felt Vicky climbed the stairs and stopped.

Misha Week 3

Day1
Today is my first day in 116 class .
I am so excited and hope today will be wonderful. In the morning, I study with Minnie for history, English and Chinese. The class is so cool and the teachers are nice. All of the classmates in the school are friendly. In the afternoon, I go to the dance room and prepare to have Dance class. From one o'clock to three o'clock, we have improvisation class. The teacher teaches us how to create our dance. The teacher is cool, teaching us a lot. At the end of the class, I take the picture with the dance teacher. From three o'clock to five o'clock, we have modern dance class.

Tommy Week 3

March 30 (By Sunny, Group3)

I am Tommy. I have come to Taiwan for many days. But my Chinese is still not very good, I want to learn more so that I can understand Taiwan better. Today I studied very hard during Chinese class. The teacher and classmates are all very attentive. I think my Chinese improves a lot, and I am proud of it! When I went home, I met many new friends. Two of them came from other countries as well. One came from England and the other came from Korea. We became good friends. We shared our cuitures. I have a meaningful day today. What a wonderful day!

Misha Week 2

March 15 (By Sheena, Group 2)

I arrived in Chu Pei Senior High School, Taiwan, a few days ago. Yesterday, March 14, I went on a trip with Class 101.

I went hiking with them. The stairs there are difficult and steep. After hiking, we were too hungry. So we made pizzas for our lunch. It was so tasty. Then, we went to the park to exercise. At about 6 p.m., we arrived at the night market, which Taiwan is famous for, to eat our dinner. Their teacher, Becky, took me to taste their stinky tofu. At first it smelled strange, but it was delicious when I tasted it with the sauce and "Taiwan-style pickled vegetable". Next time when you are in Taiwan, try the stinky tofu! After we finished our dinner, we went to a guesthouse for the night.

Tommy Week 2

March13-March15   (By Judy, Group 2)

Hi! I’m Tommy. The day before yesterday I went to Judy’s house. It was so
fun to spend the weekend with Judy and her family. I remember that the wall of the second floor of Judy’ house is amazing! There are many stickers. There are a lion, a monkey, and a very big giraffe. It is filled with a lot of innocence! I think it is because Judy has a little sister. Her name is Kitty and she is six years old. Kitty likes me so much. She held me in her arms all the time. Then, I went to the house of Judy’s grandma with her family. The house is very special and traditional, and it’s called san-ho-yuan. How wonderful days!

Misha Week 1

I'm Misha. This is the first week in my Taiwan's trip. I learn with Willy, Joe, and Hermes. They're so friendly and teach me a lot of Chinese words. But their English is not good, so we have some troubles with communication, but we still have fun. They take me to a lot of places in Hsinchu and we ate a lot of local delicious food, like rice noodles and meatballs.  A teacher from Canada teaches us English. His class is fun . He told us many stories about himself. Willy also takes me to play basketball, but I'm too small, so I can't play with them. I sit beside the court watching them. I'm very happy everyday here.

Today Emily took me the Taiwan Pavilion Expo in Hsinchu. But the bad thing was that we didn’t get in. It was too late(9:00) so it was going to be closed. Despite of that it looks beautiful,right?So I took the picture near it.

Our dear Friends, today we sent Becky and Dalan to the post office. They are now on their way to Komi Republic on express delivery. Hopefully they will arrive soon!!

This is Becky. She is going to Russia on behalf of Class 101. Her birthday is Feb. 29th. She was born in Taiwan. Her best is Snoop and she likes to jog. She is outgoing  and friendly. Moreover, she likes to travel. Hope our friends in Russia will enjoy her company.

This is Dalan. He is going to Russia on behalf of Class 103. He is a Shiba, a kind of Japanese-style dog. He was born on Dec. 24th, 2014 in Taiwan. So he is still a puppy. He likes to put a riceball on his head, because he thinks he will look cuter with that. He also likes to study with Class 103. He is very friendly and lovely. Hope our friends in Russia will enjoy his company.

We are students from Class 101, 103, and 116 in Chupei Senior High, Hsin Chu, Taiwan. We are very happy that we are having another Teddy Bear Project with our partners in Komi Republic, Russia.
